Olivier CHOSIDOW, MD, PhD is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology, Henri-Mondor University Hospital, Créteil, France.
OC has been invited worldwide, including the European, American and Asiatic Academies of Dermatology/World meetings, and numerous national annual meetings such as Canada, USA, Lebanon, Taiwan, UAE, Vietnam, .. and speciality meetings as in 2016 in Brisbane, Australia for the Tropical Medicine Congress. He published more than 430 publications referenced in the Pub-Med database/h-index of 53 (Google Scholar, January 2017).
During his academic carrier, OC’s contributions to clinical academic Dermatology were mainly into 2 topics:
Skin infectious diseases, including cellulitis and necrotizing fasciitis, ectoparasitoses, and herpes infections. He published original papers (mainly RCTs), reviews and editorials in the main Internal medicine, Dermatology and Infectious diseases journals.
Evidence-based Medicine. He published numerous RCTs and epidemiological researches, gave lectures and is currently co-director of the French Satellite of the Cochrane skin group.
OC was President of the French Society of Dermatology in 2013-2014. Since 2015, he is the President of the French Foundation of Dermatology. He belongs to the steering committee of IACS.
He and colleagues developed recently the first French center of referral for necrotizing cellulitis/fasciitis for the big Paris region.
